Do you have a crazy life that is always being bombarded with new things you have to do? Join the club. The older we get the busier our lives get. As we start families, work on careers, work on our skills, and even go after our passions in life the world becomes more complex and our free time becomes more scarce.

But you don’t have to give up. There are ways to accomplish the things you want to do and still have time to spend with the people you love. When you feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to go, here are some great tips to help you put your life together.

1. Work On Time Management

Time management is important because we only have so much time to spend. The day is only 24 hours long and much of that time is used up just sleeping and eating. If you don’t want your life to pass you by and you to wonder what ever happened to your day you need to work on time management.

The easiest thing to do is to simply create a schedule for yourself. Think about everything you need to do during the day and make a time for it. You may find that you have a lot more free time than you originally thought you did.

2. Cutt Out Unimportant Stuff

We have a lot to do, but some of it can be cut out of life or at least done less frequently. For example how often do you cut your grass? If you cut it every week and it takes you an hour to cut it each time that is 4 hours you could have used to write a book or spend time with your family.

You may consider cutting your grass only 2 or 3 times a month to save some time, or you can just pay that kid next door to mow it for you. Grass isn’t the only thing you do that you know you can cut back on. I’m sure if you think about your life and use some creativity you can save an hour here or there.

Don’t feel bad about it either. Just because you cut a chore out of your life or do it less frequently doesn’t mean you are lazy. It means you have more time to do other things in life that are more important to you.

The time you could save on simple chores or unimportant errands can add up, which can help you to do more important things or simply take some time to relax and enjoy life.

3. Use Pockets Of Free Time To Your Advantage We often find pockets of free time while we are doing other things. Think of creative ways to use these to your advantage. For instance if you’re into online marketing and you are going to the doctor’s office, bring an ipad to post a few tweets or work on promoting a new product while waiting.

If you’re a student in school or learning something new for your job, consider bringing a book along to study during that time.

There are other things you can do to take advantage of the pockets of free time that open up, you just have to be a little creative. Every window of time we use wisely can mean we have more time later on and aren’t as stressed to do everything at once.

Life can get pretty crazy as we grow up. But if you do your best to manage it and don’t take on more than you can handle, it should be manageable.
